Damage Types (Japanese: ???) in Etrian Mystery Dungeon are a properties of most attack in the game. This applies to both monster and player attacks. Some monsters have resistances or weaknesses against one or several damage type. To obtain some drops, you need to kill monsters with a specific damage type. Certain attacks can have more than one damage type. The player can resist with some equipment.

Elemental Damage Types

Fire Etrian 1 - Fire Icon.png

Usually flame and high temperature attacks.

Ice Etrian 1 - Ice Icon.png

Usually attacks dealing with freezing temperatures.

Volt Etrian 1 - Volt Icon.png

Usually attacks dealing with electricity.

Physical Damage Types

Bash Etrian 1 - Bash Icon.png

Players can inflict Bash damage with Maces and Staves. Monsters biting, kicking, punching or using their tails to attack often inflict Bash Damage.

Cut Etrian 1 - Cut Icon.png

Players can inflict Cut damage with Swords and Katanas. Monsters using claws or thorns to attack often inflict Cut Damage.

Stab Etrian 1 - Stab Icon.png

Players can inflict Stab damage with Rapiers and Guns. Monsters using fangs, tusks or needles to attack often inflict Stab Damage.
