Monsters (Japanese: モンスター) are the enemies in Etrian Mystery Dungeon. They are found in dungeons and tries to kill the player. Each time the player enter a floor in a dungeon, there will be monsters on the floor, and more of them will spawn. Monsters have different skills and stats depending on their species. EXP given and skills of a monster of a given species are always the same, however their HP, Attack and Defense varies depending on the dungeon and on the floor of the dungeon. Some monsters have a shining aura, they are Rare Breeds. These monsters are stronger than normal monsters in the same floor of the dungeon and gives more experiences.
