Shiren 1 DS:Road to the Hamlet

Road to the Hamlet (Japanese: 宿場への道) is a tutorial dungeon introduced in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer, which was not present in the original Super Famicom version of the game. Once you make it through to Canyon Hamlet, you can no longer access this location.

Plot Relevance

Road to the Hamlet appears only for a short moment throughout the game's story. New to the Nintendo DS version, this dungeon appears after the game's introduction scene is played. By completing the dungeon, Template:ShirenPC and Koppa arrive at the first town, Canyon Hamlet.

Dungeon information

This area is very limited in its randomness to introduce the player to basic game mechanics and dungeon terrain. The basic enemies here can be defeated even without the equipment the game gives you. Only for your first attempt at Table Mountain, you have the advantage of the items collected on the Road to the Hamlet.

When falling in this dungeon, a short scene plays, showing Shiren and Koppa picking themselves up outside of the mill where they slept, and setting out again.

Rescues

The player can't send a rescue help in Road to the Hamlet.
