A Boss (Japanese: ボス) is a powerful monster in Etrian Mystery Dungeon that must be defeated in order to progress in the story. They are always found on the last Floor of the Dungeons. Some bosses have minions to help them in the fight. A boss takes 3x3 tiles on the Map. Some bosses can only be fought once. There are 17 bosses, 5 of them being minions.
