Floor types are a defining characterstic of a floor or area in the Mystery Dungeon games. Random floors are randomly generated and change every time they are entered. Shuffle floors are pre-made floors that are randomly used on a given floor number. Arranged floors are generated by arranging bigger pre-made areas together. Fixed floors always look the same and are always found at the same floor number. Gridless Floors are a type of fixed floor where the grid doesn't appear until a fight starts.
