Super MD:Unused Dungeons
This article contains information regarding content that isn't present or accessible in the released game. |
Unused Dungeon Data in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon.
Unused Dungeon Names
There are three Wonder Mail exclusive Dungeons used in the game. The Japanese name for Rolling Pass references Corocoro, the magazine in which the code for the Japanese version was distributed alongside Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon - Go! Expedition Society Juniors!. The Japanese name for Thrash Dungeon seems to reference Abareru-kun, one of the personalities from the Japanese TV show Pokémon Get TV
, during which the code was distributed. The third dungeon, Maze Meadow, which was distributed during an official Niconico Livestream, doesn't seem to reference anything. The three dungeons have unused internal Japanese names that mention the source of the code in parentheses:
- コロコロ峠(コロコロ用)
- あばれるダンジョン(ゲットTV用)
- ファミリー通路(略してファミ通用)
However, the last one is not the Japanese name for Maze Meadow, and it references the magazine Famitsu. Three Wonder Mail passwords have been distributed by Famitsu[1], however none of them unlock dungeons.
Heart of the Forest
The Alliance tutorial area is dungeon ID 32, and it is called "Heart of the Forest (not displayed)" (Japanese: 森の奥(ダンジョン名非表示)). There is also a version of the name without the "(not displayed)" part. Both names are unused because the menu can't be opened normally during the tutorial, and the dungeon can't be seen in any menus, however the name is used by Watchog in the dialogue in the Japanese version. There are some unused floors in this dungeon.
Unused Dungeon Areas
Regular Celebi
An unused area with a Celebi waiting for the player.
In the game, Amoonguss explains that Celebi resides in the middle of the Mystical Forest, at a location called Time Travel Lake, which doesn't appear in the game. This unused Celebi area may be intended to be Time Travel Lake.

Shiny Celebi
This is another unused area involving Celebi, but for the shiny. It's unknown what dungeon this place was intended to be in. However, this does closely resemble the Mystifying Forest dungeon from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness.
Unused Shaymin Sky Meetup
An unused area with a Shaymin in its Sky form awaiting the player. It's unknown what place this could be. The map also seems to have geometry/elevation glitches.
