Shiren:Fay's Puzzles

Fay's Puzzles (Japanese: フェイの問題) are a gameplay element in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. They made their debut appearance in  Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer in 1995.

Fay's Puzzles are created by Fay the Researcher and function as a way to teach players about the basics of gameplay, how to think creatively, as well as what to expect in a Dungeon environment.

Trivia

•  Version 1.1.0 of / Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island featured a new addition, Dojo Challenge, which is reminiscent of Fay's Puzzles, with puzzles focusing on individual monsters.
  • Much like Peach Buns are to Monster Meat, or Handy Dash is to iDash, it appears to be a way of re-branding an old mechanic the developers wished to include without including it directly.
