Transcript of the Redevelopment menu in Etrian Mystery Dungeon.
Magan: The redevelopment project is a plan to develop Aslarga and improve its support for adventurers. We have plans for the Hotel, Market, Eatery, and Guild districts... All four of them. We welcome financial assistance to carry out the development plans. There are incentives for adventurers who pitch in. For example, take the Guild District. When it reaches three stars, you may construct Search Forts. A Search Fort can detect zones in a radius of three on all sides, and its Geomagnetic Pole allows for fast travel. Each district has its own bonuses, but all are useful for adventurers. You can review each district's plan for details.
Hotel District

Magan:Thank you. I'm sure the staff at Kasumi's Inn will be pleased with the development progress of the Hotel District. As a bonus for your help, you may now store more items at the inn storage. Be sure to store whatever you don't want to take into the dungeons.

She'll be upgrading the meals she's been giving you to one that'll be much more useful on your adventures.

Magan: Thank you. This marks the fulfillment of all our development plans for the Hotel District. We've been able to grow the Hotel District this much due to your support. From all of Aslarga's citizens, thank you. The final bonus is the largest bag we have. We made it as large as it can be without impeding your adventures. It took a great deal of joint research from Stein Labs and Chano Industries to create, making it the finest possible bag. You'll need to manage whatever you can hold in this bag in order to succeed in your adventures from now on. But I'm sure you'll rise to the challenge. You've already been successful in so many exploits, after all.

Magan: Thank you. I'm sure the Chano staff is pleased with the development progress of the Market District. As a bonus for your help, Chano is unveiling some new stock. More types of forging are now on offer, so consider tempering your current gear, or buying even stronger equipment. Ah, which reminds me. Have you been investing in gathering skills such as Mineralogy, Dendrology, or Herbology? With high enough levels in gathering skills, you can gather more materials per attempt from the various gathering spots. The benefit will be apparent when you're able to sell more and better materials to the shop. I highly suggest it.

There will be a greater range of goods and forging services available, so keep selling materials to Chano Retail. Chano can now forge weapons to deal Fire, Ice, or Volt damage, and what's more, they can add death resistance to shields. Eatery District

Magan: Thank you. I'm sure Niralda will be pleased with the progress we've made in the Eatery District. Each time this district is developed, we can provide funding and ingredients toward the creation of new dishes. The Amber Restaurant will be one of the beneficiaries, of course. I believe the Eatery District chairman is also preparing a quest in celebration of the district's progress. But that may take some time to set up. Give it a bit before checking the notice board.

There was the very filling Someii Rice, as well as the Amber Curry, which bolsters resistance. Both were superb. And it seems they're preparing another quest to celebrate their progress, so check back later for that.

Magan: Thank you. This completes all of our development plans for the Eatery District. We've only grown the Eatery District this much due to your support. From all of Aslarga's citizens, thank you. Niralda mentioned that she would prepare a suitable dish for the occasion. I'm sure it will be spectacular, as usual. One thing that Niralda always mentions when preparing a new dish is her desire for it to satisfy any adventurer. And I wonder if by adventurer, she's also referring to her somewhat indecisive husband. She has harsh words for her husband, but it may be her way of cheering him on. At least, that's how it seems from here. As I'm sure you've realized, despite her sharp tongue, Niralda does have a soft heart.

Guild District

Magan: Thank you. I'm sure the Guildmaster is satisfied with the development progress of the Guild District. As a bonus for helping, you may now register more guild members. Magan: With your donations, we've also finished the Search Fort, so that is available for construction now. Its distinctive feature is the range of its detector. The Basic Fort only had a one- zone radius, but the Search Fort's is three. It also has a Geomagnetic Pole feature, for travelling between Aslarga and the dungeon.

Magan: The Detect Monsters Manual teaches a Blast Skill which, as you'd expect, reveals the position of monsters on your floor. It's sure to be useful both for finding monsters and avoiding them. The Blast Skill learned from this Holy Gift Manual allows all members in the same room to earn more experience. It also improves the odds that monsters will drop items. Use it in a crowded room, and you'll be showered with gifts.

Magan: This Analyze Manual teaches a Blast Skill that enables you to record the details of all monsters in the room to your Tome. Use it to help you understand monsters you're fighting for the first time.

Magan: Thank you. I appreciate your support. This time, you will receive a Blast Skill manual. We also have new forts for you to construct. A Storage Fort lets you keep items there. Simply place them on the wooden storage tiles found in the fort. Items placed on storage tiles will remain even after leaving the zone. It helps when you have more than you can hold. However, items on storage tiles can still be misused by monsters, and they will disappear if you tear down the fort. Storage tiles are only temporary storage. If you have important items you don't want to lose, store them with Kasumi. We've also completed the Luxury Fort. As its name implies, it is a luxurious fort with all the amenities. We've reached the last stage in our plans for the Guild District's development. Only one step remains.

Magan: You've received several manuals so far. They were written by the Guildmaster based on skills he once mastered. When the DOE struck a year ago, he used those skills to fend it off. But it seems their powers have grown weak... He started writing the manuals soon after that, for young adventurers arriving in town. All part of the protection effort. Even so, he didn't teach those skills to just any adventurer. I believe he has some guiding principle in mind. I don't claim to know what that might be. I'm no knight, nor have I mastered any skills, so I... Ah, but no matter. I don't know the Guildmaster's mind because I lack experience. I do what I can that I might understand someday.

Magan: And I have one other thing to thank you for... Though I believe you know already. That's correct. With the completion of that project just now, all of the town development plans are complete. As provost, I would like to thank you all again. This is for you, as a sign of my appreciation.
