Skills (Japanese: スキル) are special attacks in Etrian Mystery Dungeon. They can be used by monsters and by the player. Each monster and each classes have differents skills.

Skills can be passive, meaning that their effect does not need to activated manually, or active. Active skills often cost TP, if the character using the skill does not have enough TP the Skill fail. Skills often require a body part to be used, if this body part if desactivated, with a Head Bind, Arm Bind or Leg Bind, the skill cannot be used. In addition, Player active skill can require having a Weapon or a Shield equipped to be used. To learn a skill, a player must invest at least 1 Skill Points on this Skill.

In addition there is a special kind of Skill, Blast Skills that use Blast Gauge instead of TP.
