The N'Duba (Japanese: ンドゥバ) monster family is a recurring group of four monsters in the Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer Super Famicom in 1995, making it one of the Original Monster Families.

Related additional families include the Dark N'dubba monster family that first appeared in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 4 - The Eye of God and the Devil's Navel in 2010, and two cameo appearances in the Danganronpa series, the first in 2017, under the name Mon'Duba.

The N'Duba Family consists of:

  1. N'Duba (Japanese: ンドゥバ)
  2. N'Dulu (Japanese: ンドゥルー)
  3. N'Bama (Japanese: ンバマ)
  4. N'Balun (Japanese: ンバルーン)

The N'Duba family is one of several different decoy monster families. They disguise themselves as Items, in some games as Shop items, and reveal themselves when the player attempts to use the item.

The N'Duba family features different leveling properties in Shiren 2 and and Asuka the Swordswoman.

They gain "years" with each level, and have different forms at set levels, much like the Chimera, Evil Tree, Inferno, and Kigny families. The Japanese name for years 1 - 19 is the same as N'Duba. The names listed are taken from the Shiren 2 English unofficial translation.

In Despair Dungeon: Monokuma's Test (Japanese: 絶望のダンジョン モノクマの試練, Dungeon of Despair: Monokuma's Trial), a Mon'Duba appears as a boss monster. It is a fusion between a N'Duba and Monokuma.[1]

In Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp (Japanese: ハッピーダンガンロンパS 超高校級の南国サイコロ合宿), Mon'Duba's appear in Despair Dungeon: Monokuma's Test, they are a fusion between a N'Duba and Monokuma.
