Arm Bind (Japanese: 腕封じ) is an ailment in Etrian Mystery Dungeon.

Effects

A character or an enemy affected by Arm Bind cannot use Skills that require arms, and their physical defense is reduced. It also makes it impossible to use Sigils. The effects of Arm Bind can be cured by 5~ turns, or by using any skills or items that cure ailments.

How is it inflicted

  • Protector's Shield Smite inflicts Arm Bind for 5 turns at Lv 1,2 and 3 and for 6 turns at Lv 4 and 5
  • Gunner's Arm Snipe inflicts Arm Bind for 5 turns
  • Hexer's Abdomen Curse inflicts Arm Bind for 5 turns at Lv 1,2 and 3 and for 6 turns at Lv 4 and 5

Monsters

Items

Weapons with the Arm Bind effect can bind monsters when an attack hits a monster. This effect can be added to weapons by Forging them.

Tips

Player skills requiring Arms are mostly offensive skills, so being Arm Bound impact on the ability to inflict damage or ailments on monsters for the player. However, some classes have no Arm skills at all: these are Hexers, Dancers, Runemasters and Sovereigns.

Like other Binds, the player can inflict Arm Bind on monsters to prevent them from using specific skills.

To get a Sealed Claw a Great Lynx must be defeated while it is Arm bound.
