This Staves page is about the Nintendo Wii release. For the PlayStation Portable release, see Shiren 3 PSP:Staff.
For the lore page, see Shiren:Staff.

Staves (Japanese: ) are magical wooden sticks blessed by Doras, the God of MagicLore in Wii Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 3 - The Sleeping Princess and the Karakuri Mansion. The Player Characters can swing or throw staves at enemies for various effects. Each stave can have a charge value of 0 to 99, though they're limited to a max of [10] through the main story. When dealing with staves, Item Identification should be treated with caution, as some may have beneficial effects such as changing a Monster into a stronger enemy, turn them Invisible or increase their Movement Speed.

Regaining Charges

A staff with 0 charges left isn't entirely worthless either, as they can be thrown at an enemy for one last use, though this has a chance to miss. Used staves can be sold in Shops. It's also possible to increase the charges of staves the following methods:

  • Insert 2 staves of the same type into a Melding Jar or throw them at a Mixer Family monster, they will be combined into one. If a Cursed stave is inserted after a non-cursed staff, the end result will be a cursed staff.
  • Offer them to a Dragon Orb and wait for the charges to increase. New staves may spawn and the staff might be converted to another type.
  • Insert the staff into a Strengthening Jar.
