The Dragonward (Japanese: ドラゴンシールド) is a shield introduced in the Super Famicom release of Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer. It bears the File:Shiren 1 DS Shield Seal Dragon.png (Dragon) Seal which halves the damage done by fire produced by Dragon-type Monsters.
This Shield will half the amount of otherwise fixed damage dealt by dragon fire, from the Dragon Family and the Firepuff Family.
- Firepuff fire: 10 damage - Dragonward seal: 5 damage.
- Ark Dragon fire: 50 damage - Dragonward seal: 25 damage.
Tips for use
- Combine a shield with a Dragonward in a Melding Jar to add the File:Shiren 1 DS Shield Seal Dragon.png seal to the shield.
- A Shield with a Dragonward seal is highly recommended for later dungeons that are inhabited by Ark Dragons, who will constantly breathe fire at Template:ShirenPC, from across the map, dealing 50 fixed damage each time.

Trivia
- Due to Floor Dragon only being able to do physical attacks, the Dragonward doesn't offer any additional protection from them.
