Shiren 1 SFC:Armband

Armband (Japanese: 腕輪) are an accessory item in  Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer. They are the rarest type of item in the game, with all armbands having lower spawn rates compared to other item types. They are not strictly necessary to have in order to find success in normal play. When used properly, however, they can greatly aid and protect you. They provide powerful effects when equipped but only one armband may be equipped at any one time. The greatest weakness of armbands is that they take up precious inventory space. Knowing which armbands to utilize for different situations while managing multiple armbands at a time can greatly improve your chances of surviving any dungeon.

In Shiren the Wanderer (SFC), armbands can not be melded together with one another. They will also never break from use. Cursed armbands effects will not work, essentially making the item useless until you remove the curse from it. This makes aggressively testing unknown armbands early on in any dungeon relatively safe, with the only risk being that you may fail to find a way to remove the item in favor of a armband that is not cursed.
