Mastersword (Japanese: どうたぬき), later known as Dotanuki ^{(Level 1)} or Doutanuki, is a Weapon in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in  Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer in 1995. Masterswords are wider-bladed Katana, made by the master swordmaker Genba Dotanuki.

An improved version called the Master X can be obtained in Shiren 1 for the Nintendo DS, which later became the Level 6 Dotanuki Type in Shiren 5, localized as the Fine Dotanuki in  Shiren 5 Vita.
