The Wanderer Rescue Team (Japanese: 風来救助隊) is the name given to Shi-Rangers who rescue other players. The earliest known usage of the term is on the  Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer GB2 - Magic Castle of the Desert official website in 2001. Magic Castle GBC was the first game in the Mystery Dungeon Franchise to feature player rescues.

The Chunsoft Official Website and Asuka the Swordswoman Official Website mention the Wanderer Rescue Team. The Wanderer Rescue Team was featured in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer - Extra which released on November 9, 2004. The official web page mentioned Magic Castle GBC.
