Community:Cross-Wiki Week
To celebrate Nintendo's birthday on September 23, Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance hosts its annual Cross-Wiki Week event. From September 20, 00:01 (UTC) to September 30, 23:59 (UTC) 2024.
Cross-Wiki Week 2024
These are all beginner-level projects that are need to be done, but haven't been high enough on the priority list to tackle yet.
- Geography descriptions
- Lore pages for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon towns need geography descriptions (example: Post Town)
- If the page doesn't exist, create it with just the geography description. We can add the formatting later.
- Dungeon lore pages could also use geography descriptions.
- See: Project - Rescue Team Friend Areas - 753 days; Low priority
- Friend Areas need geography descriptions.
- See: Project - Shiren 1 DS For/About Cleanup - 1073 days; Intermediate priority
- The For/About templates currently use unofficial localizations from the Shiren 1 SFC unofficial patch. They need to be replaced with the official names from the Shiren 1 DS articles.
- Shiren 3 Wii
- Shiren 3 Wii monster articles need the visual stats template. See: Mamel Family for an example.
Shiren 3 Wii monster articles need the "About" template. See Mamel Family for an example. Links need to be added for the PSP release.
- Official artwork needs to be added to monster articles for Shiren 1 DS and Magic Castle DS articles, when and where available. Category:Shiren 1 DS Monster Art, Category:Magic Castle DS Monster Art
- Pokémon (species) lore articles need their manga appearances filled out. See Lugia for example.
- Shiren 3 Wii item articles need to be created.
- Adventure Squad Pokémon articles need to have their basic info filled out. See: Aipom as a good example, and Butterfree as one in need of data.
Cross-Wiki Week 2023
From September 23 through October 1, everyone is invited to edit NIWA wikis that they have never (or infrequently) edited before. Whether it's adding new content, uploading an image, or adding a reference, we want you to take your experience and love for video games to a new wiki!
Two random participants will win $20/€20 Nintendo e-Shop Gift Cards.
The goal of this annual event is to bring editors to new wikis, promote cooperation, support smaller wikis, and help create new long-term editors.
Projects
There's no shortage of projects on the MDFW that need to be done. Overall wiki projects can be found on our Projects page. For projects related to a specific series, see:
Content is organized into different namespaces. The following act as main namespaces, housing lore, disambiguations, and so on; Shiren, Pokémon, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Etrian Odyssey. Videogames are sorted into their own respective namespaces to prevent readers from having to dig through pages of irrelevant data for games they're not playing, manga they're not reading, and so on.
See:
- Pikachu Pkmn: Lore/Disambiguation
- Pikachu Rescue Team: PMD: Red and Blue Rescue Team
- Pikachu Gates: PMD: Gates to Infinity
- Mamel Family Shiren: Lore/Disambiguation
- Mamel Family Shiren 1 DS: Shiren the Wanderer DS
- Mamel Family Moonlight Village GB: Shiren the Wanderer: Monster of Moonlight Village Game Boy
Due to games having their own namespaces, and their own coverage, each game has (or will have) its own project with its own set of projects that needs to be sorted out. Projects are assigned a priority upon creation.
