Otsutsuki Village

The Post-Credits Quests begin back in Otsutsuki village go to the Blacksmith's house and talk with Sato. She will tell you an onsen has appeared in Hourai Mountain. You are told that there will be a fighting tournament that you have been invited to and the winner gets 100,000 Gitan and the hot springs as a prize. You will need to go register at Hourai Mountain. You will receive the Invitation story item and Sato will give you a Riceball.

Hourai Mountain

Head to Yotsume Rock and across the bridge to speak with a man standing in front of the tournament grounds. He will give you a bracket of the tournament. Master X, who looks identical to Sensei but with a mask on comes walking up claiming to want to win the prize. He claims he doesn't know of any person named Sensei though. After some more talking, he leaves. You can now enter the arena for your first fight against Carl on the right side.

Battle Arena

Carl is another large eagle, he's the brother of Johnny, the one you fought in Eagle's Fortress and he's here for revenge.

Carl will shoot you from a distance with pistols, like his brother. When you walk directly up to him he'll perform an attack that will prevent you from attacking him back for several turns. The attacks deal 30 damage from a distance and 40 when you're adjacent to him.

After winning the first round the bracket shows you will now face Oboro. Oboro shows up and says she thinks something fishy is going on and is here to investigate. On your way out you hear Sato screaming and find out Asuka has been kidnapped by a strange group. A man shows up and gives you a letter, the letter says that if you value your friend's life you need to lose your next match. You decide to search for Asuka while you have some time before the next fight. Leave Yotsume Rock and head to a location that has just appeared on the overworld map, the Gedoumaru, another airship. Go take a look around the ship, however, you will be quickly stopped by some ninja on the ship.

After taking down the 5 ninjas, you see Oboro questioning Asuka about the treasure at the bottom of the lake. Asuka says that this person isn't really Oboro. But, this is actually her older sister, Soboro, The Sukeban Kunoichi. Apparently, Soboro wants the prize money to use for excavating the treasure from the lake. Asuka is suddenly sucked into a portal and a mysterious voice says you need to get back to the tournament. So head that way, back to the Battle Arena.

Soboro tells you her master plan is to turn this place into a ninja resort.

After crushing Soboro's dream by beating her, she disappears. Onward to the third round against Mamel ZZ. Master X shows up again and claims he doesn't know who Asuka is. Shiren then turns around to see Sensei without a mask, who claims he looks nothing like Master X. You tell Sensei what has happened to Asuka and he says she is most likely safe since these people who took her want you to continue fighting on in the tournament. Turns out Shiren was the only one who got an invitation, so clearly something is going on. The only thing you can do is keep fighting. So move on to your next fight, Mobile Mamel ZZ.

Mamel ZZ

The Mamel ZZ's attack is a nanoparticle cannon that does a fixed 50 damage.

After defeating Mamel ZZ it will transform into what looks like a Chintala with bunny ears. It claims its name is Usakichi, a messenger from the moon. He invites you to talk at his ship. Your next fight is against Master X, another person comes up praising Koppa and Shiren for their great feats and asks for a request to meet him at the Ruined Temple.

Ruined Temple

You find the man inside the Ruined Temple. He is with someone he calls Boss and a group of other guys. He identifies himself as Sukegoro of the Inobuta Family. He wants you to throw the final fight and says your opponent will know of this. He offers twice the money as well. Tell him you don't want the deal. He wants the hot springs to build a resort here. But, Shiren decides he won't uproot all the people of the village just to let this guy build a resort. Before a fight breaks out, Master X comes out and it seems that he was hired by this boss to win the fight. Master X apologizes and says to bring your best in the tourney. So head back to the tourney to save the village.

Master X

Master X is ready for a fight, so give him one!

Attacks twice and does a fixed 70 damage, only when Shiren is adjacent.

After defeating Master X the henchmen and Boss who spoke to us at the Ruined Temple appear. They take Master X away. A mysterious voice says you won't be getting Money but instead DEATH! A stone tablet rises from the podium with RIP Asuka and Shiren written on it, and Asuka tied to the back of it, unconscious. Then a portal appears and 3 monsters come out of it. Monsters Shiren and Asuka had fought and defeated in the past. Curas from the Demon Castle (Japanese: 砂漠の魔城), Ragoon of Sairai Country (Japanese: 祭来国), and Tainted Insect from Kobami Valley (Japanese: こばみ谷). They escaped Yomi when the gateway opened up. Now they want their revenge! Master X shows up and takes off his mask and it really is Sensei. Sensei takes care of Asuka so take care of these resurrected enemies.

For detailed stats see the Curas, Ragoon, Tainted Insect boss page.

  • Curas has a regular attack, a healing technique, an attack that knocks Shiren back, and an attack that raises his strength. It creates a black shadowy mist over the battlefield.
  • Ragoon can warp, regenerate or create new hands that fire a 3 square wide laser that can damage other bosses as well as the hands.
  • The hands have a regular attack, can steal an item and throw it or summon
  • Tainted Insect has a regular attack.

After defeating the monsters, they say how much they hate Shiren. They curse him and are sucked back into their portal. Sensei has rescued Asuka and they are up on the podium. Everyone is saved. Asuka comes to and Sensei explains he used a Change Staff on Kasuke to fill in for him, which is why Shiren saw both Master X and Sensei in the same place. Sensei knew this tournament had something fishy going on so he became a mysterious martial artist. Sato shows up and it turns out they made a tombstone for the Princess which is placed near Yotsume Rock. After some more banter and jokes, you can save your game.
