Promo page of unknown origin.

Beta Screenshots from an unknown set of promotional pages feature graphics and unknown locations that are not seen in the final game.

Top Menu

The Main Menu background art of Table Mountain(NT) - This name may be officially used elsewhere, but this media hasn't been officially translated. looks different in a prototype image. Table Mountain is shorter in the beta release, the final release is overall darker than the beta. Table Mountain and the clouds are much less detailed and the position of the sun is also different.

Summit Forest

The forest in the final build doesn't feature square rooms, and nor do Karakuroid'sTemplate:FT appear in the forest area of the final release. The floor number appears to be a single digit. The trees shown in the beta release are different than those that appear in the final build.

The game was developed in parallel with the Game Boy game Template:MoonlitVillageGBTemplate:FT, which used modified source code from the Super Famicom game.[1][2] While the final release of Shiren 1 SFC doesn't feature any square forest locations, Moonlit Village GB does. It's possible the GB game uses an early version of the SFC code or possibly a simplified version of it.

Summit Town

This location that appears to be Summit TownTemplate:FT, however, the final game lacks a bridge over a cliff or the building shown. What appears to be a building on the right side closely resembles Torneko's home from Torneko's Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon.
