Ranks

The Rank (Japanese: ランク, Rank) is a method of tracking the player's progress in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games. Increasing the rank may result in visible changes to the design of the Team Badge.

Ranks increase by completing rescue missions and being awarded rescue points. When a new points threshold is reached, the badge will be upgraded to a max of Lucario Rank (15,000 Points) in the original Rescue Team titles and Grand Master (99,800) in the remake, Rescue Team DX.

In the Manga Template:Manga, Mudkip tells Ginji that Alakazam's team is the gold rank, the highest level.

Team Badges

Team Badges are carried by teams to denote their status as official teams and not imposters. They allow team members to teleport Pokémon outside of dungeons when rescuing them. Their design is different across games, and in most of the games, it can be seen changing when raising the team's rank.
