Gaibara (Japanese: ガイバラ) is a potter of some renown who lives in Mountaintop Town. He's known for his legendary pottery, quick temper and his many apprentices.

Trivia
- Gaibara is the only NPCs to participate in a side quest that does not initially involve him, in addition to having his own.
- Gaibara, along with Saruyama, are the first NPCs from the Shiren the Wanderer series to appear in a different franchise, being the Dragon Quest series with Torneko: The Last Hope.[1]
