- "Trips you up, puts you down and your Items run around and desert you."
- The English version of Shiren 5 references Star Wars with the item name Darth Scroll.
- The English version of Shiren 5 references It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia with the description of the item Day Shield.
Pokémon
- When first meeting Swanna in the English version of
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, she says "You can call me Swanna if you want. Just don't call me maybe.", which is a reference to Carly Rae Jepsen's song, Call Me Maybe.
