The Main Menu
Display
- Go on an Adventure (Japanese: ぼうけんいでる): Continue the game from where it was left off.
- Create Diary (Japanese: にっきをつくる): Create a new save file.
- Copy Diary (Japanese: にっきをうつす): Copy a save file to a different slot.
- Delete Diary (Japanese: にっきをけす): Delete a save file.
- Change Name (Japanese: なまえをかえる): Change the player's name on a save file.
- Leaderboard/Password (Japanese: ばんづけ/パスワード): Opens sub-menu.
- Leaderboard (Japanese: ばんづけ): Displays records in dungeons across save files.
- Password (Japanese: パスワード): Opens another sub-menu to select a Diary, and shows a list of achievements reached for that Diary. Known as the Adventure Log or Adventure Footprint in later games.
- Recollection (Japanese: かいそう): See a replay of the player's actions on the most recent floor.
- Fay's Puzzles (Japanese: フェイのもんだい): Menu selection for Fay's Puzzles. Puzzles that have been cleared at least once are marked as completed.
