Anything Goes Challenge
The challenge is to clear Time Attack mode as quickly as possible and submit the time while following the provided rules.
The Rules
The game can be played on any platform but save states and cheats are not allowed.
Item Carry In
The game allows you to carry in an item with you. You can carry in a Holding Jar [5] and inside of it, 5 of the following items on your journey. For the purposes of this challenge, any and all items are allowed and encouraged as the goal is to clear the game with the quickest possible time.
Anything Goes Strategy
There aren't any village stops or rest areas allowed along the way. The player is penalized by the game (10 minutes) if they don't collect 10,000 Gitan along the way. We ignored this in the community, instead choosing to base our times on our actual play time and not some arbitrary penalty the devs made up.
The game allows you to bring a single item into Table Mountain. This can be abused by readying up a Holding Jar +5 with powerful gear inside. A weapon and Shield are the minimum suggestions. As well as items such as an Armband of Sight and a Postpone Staff.
The "seals" (also called Runes in this series) used on this weapon and shield are inefficient. For Example, the Kigny Shield which occasionally passes off damage to other monsters, (similar to the pass scarf in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon) can really slow down gameplay. Another shield seal that's arguably negative is the Spiked Ward, which occasionally returns damage taken to monsters. This just displays additional dialogue, slowing things down. However, this is likely negligible, as you slow yourself down every time you have to B-dash over monster meat, displaying dialogue in the process.
It's advisable to use an emulator or a modded 3DS, R4, or some other way to restore your save state, as it can take a bit of setup to go back into a second run.

Notes
The original challenge rules only allowed a Jar of Holding [3] and didn't account for Herbs and Armbands.
