Fay's Puzzle: Shopping Battle is one of Fay's Puzzles in Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer.

Puzzle #42/50: Shopping Battle

It is the only one of Fay's Puzzles to have a shop, although the items contained in the shop do not change with each attempt in doing the puzzle.

Things to be learned:

You don't necessarily need the better items to get out of trouble. In this case, merely using the Scroll of Sleep is enough to be able to exit the puzzle.

Solution:

1. Make sure at least one Pickpocket Family is following you before traversing the corridor to the North, then head West to enter the Shops area.
2. Pick up and equip the Mastersword.
3. Kill the Pickpockets and take the Gitan they drop (make sure to take them out first before picking up the money).
4. Put the Mastersword back down and use the money to buy a Scroll of Sleep.
5. Walk into the room East of the shop and move to the South West corner, the Popster Tank Family will destroy the Ironhead Family and level up.
6. Now use the Scroll of Sleep and walk to the Stairs.
