Debug Mode is an unused mode in Super Famicom Torneko's Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon(UT) - This is an unofficial translation.(UT) - This is an unofficial translation. originally used by developers to test things in-game.

Accessing

Debug Mode can be enabled by using the cheat codes 00800000 and 00800100.

Functions

Both Inside and Outside

  • Hold L or R on controller 2: Temporarily pauses animations and actions from progressing.

Outside of Dungeons

  • Hold B: Walk through walls and characters.
  • Select: Advance the Shop(UT) - This is an unofficial translation. to the next stage.

Inside Dungeons

  • Start: On each floor, this button has a different effect each time it is pressed. In order:
Shows the position of enemies on the map.
Reveals the position of items on the map.
Shows the entire floor layout and reveals traps.
Removes all enemies currently on the floor.
Goes to the next floor and increases Torneko's level by 1.
When the last floor is reached, this keeps repeating the last floor.

Controller 2

  • Up, down, left, right and B: Plays a sound effect.
  • A and X: Changes the music.
