While Hydreigon is trying to communicate with {{Pkmn|Hero (character - Gates to Infinity)|one of the humans}}, {{PkmnC|Munna}} hijacks the telepathic communication to make Hydreigon look like a villain chasing her, and asks the main character to help in stopping him. When Hydreigon eventually meets the human, he manages to explain the situation to him. Hydreigon is later frozen and shattered to pieces by {{PkmnC|Kyurem}}, who warns them to not interfere with the fate of the Pokémon world. After the human destroys the Bittercold, Hydreigon decides to appear again and brings the human back to the Human World, which is supposed to erase everyone's memories of him in the process. However, the other Pokémon managed to defy fate once again, remembering his existence. Eventually, Hydreigon explains that there could be a way for the human's {{Pkmn|Partner (character - Gates to Infinity)|partner}} to express a wish at the {{Pkmn|Worldcore}} to let the human come back.
