So Chunsoft made a page for the 20th anniversary of Mystery Dungeon 2 on super famicom. I believe shiren 5 came out in 2010. The original shiren came out in 95, although I don't have a better source than wikipedia...

Also the first gameboy game was not a port of the superfamicom game. I did not beat it, but I know it was not a port. Although some of the locales are simlar and enemies are too, it is its own game. Here is a playthru of the game.

Thanks for confirming that the GameBoy game isn't a port. I really can't stand people who spread mis-information. I've lost countless hours trying to do research and prove things one way or the other.

I'm HaxAras in this thread, and this thread was in response to my "List of Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer Games" page that I made in 2014 when information on this series was much more primitive.
