Do we know exactly what having an item Cursed does?

Obviously, when they're cursed you can't:
unequip swords shields or armbands,
read scrolls,
eat herbs,
swing staves,
shoot arrows.

I don't know what the effect is for a cursed Jar, Meat, riceeball, or trap.

In addition, we know:
an Herb of Revival won't resurrect you if cursed: http://shiren.wetpaint.com/thread/1284506/Ideas/
an Herb of Sight won't cure the Blind Girl when thrown, and instead deals 2 damage (I recently found this out myself. Throwing an UNcursed Herb of Sight immediately after caused her to stop moving and thank me as usual.)
a sword with the Unbreakable Dig mod will not be able to dig when cursed. (Personal experience again. That was irritating.)
and, IIRC, a sword with the Gold mod (rust-proof plating) will still rust when cursed. (I believe I read this on the GameFaqs board, but I can't find it at the moment. Perhaps cursing disables ALL mods on a sword/shield? How about intrinsics?)

There's quite a lot to this mechanic, it seems, and I'd appreciate any help people can offer towards exploring it. Thanks!

On a shield or sword, all added effects are nullified, including intrinsics. The only time this is beneficial is on I believe Armor Wards (no accelerated hunger) and Fragile equipment.

On riceballs, you can't eat them and throwing it at Rice enemies will not cause them to choke. Throw them at Pekeji and he will eat them though.

On jars you cannot use them in any way. They should retain their properties if broken though (iirc). Not sure if extraction scrolls will work on them.
