[#515]
Adventure Allies
  • Tanmomo(UT) - This is an unofficial translation. will seek out and attack monsters.
  • Adventure allies need to be in the same room as Shiren to progress to the next floor.
Dungeons
  • Floors with Monster Houses and Shops will cause the game to run slower. If a store or monster house is located somewhere on the floor, screen movement with B dash movement will be slow and the processing speed will drop.
  • Walls don't break from explosions.
  • The forest exit/stumb can be placed directly at the entrance of a room.
  • There are only 7 monsters when descending to a new floor. If there's more, it's Nagi or an ally, monster house, or shop.
  • There are only 4 items per floor. If there's more it's a monster house or shop.
  • There are only 8 rooms max, per floor.
  • You can bring in 5 items but items in jars will disappear.
  • Swords, shields (str/def), Jars, Armbands, and Staves will be unidentified on Hard, but not on Easy.
  • Armbands and Staves brought into the dungeon will be unidentified
Gameplay
  • Fay's Puzzles are independent of the main story. They're selected from the main menu and you don't get any rewards for beating them.
  • You only have the first 50 unlocked to start off with. The rest are unlocked when you: ???
  • Easy difficulty reads off those annoying tutorial messages every time you pick up specific items, not just the first time.
  • The warehouse expands after a certain number of adventures.
  • Different items, monsters and story progress depending on the difficulty and you need to beat hard to see the true end.
  • Difficulty:
    • Easy: Items are IDed, You can make it to floor 15 to meet Koppa. 48 items and 17 monster families.
    • Normal: Shops and traps start to appear, some items are un-id'ed. Story ends at floor 21, 73 types of items, 31 monsters
    • Hard: Most items are unidentified. After clearing 21 fl and back, moonlit village exit us unlocked. 77 kinds of items, 35 monsters
  • Sacrifice Pass is the only round trip dungeon in the series.
Items
  • Thrown items or projectiles will travel for 10 Tiles.
  • Herbs that sell for 200 Gitan are all negative herbs.
  • Equipping arrows takes a turn.
  • Melding a broze shield adds rustpoof.
  • Weapons and Shields don't have Rune slots/limits, or upgrade limits.
  • The Retreat Scroll only allows the player to leave with equipped items.
    • Can it be used to steal?
Lore
  • The game takes place one year after the previous one, and it takes place in a village to meet Koppa.
  • The reason none of the allies make a return is because they're all animals living in the village.
Monsters
  • Air Devil's don't repel staff charges.
  • Pop-up monster houses appear.
  • A Doppleganger Staff'ed monster will have the same Shield sprite as Shiren.
  • Thiefwalrus's prefer new items over ones already on the ground.
Traps
  • Summon Trap
    • Shiren acts first when stepping on one.
    • Monsters act first when selecting it from the ground.
  • Arrows from arrow traps don't hit enemies.

Note from a Japanese Wiki:

  • The staff of 500 G is "stick of a meadow". 500 G staff, a wanderer's wand regardless of the number of times of remaining use.

  • Tanmomo can be recruited prior to rescuing Nagi.
  • Tanmomo didn't level up after being defeated once.
    • Tanmomo seemed to level up after being defeated twice.
    • Tanmomo2 was defeated once and left behind once.
  • 2 or 3 adventures (at least) after rescuing Nagi, the warehouse was built.
  • The adventure prior, he seemed to give Shiren some Wooden Arrows.
  • 4 adventures, Warehouse didn't progress.
  • Returning with Nagi twice, I lost my inventory.
  • Returning with Koppa, I kept my inventory.
  • If you ignore Nagi and head to the Dragon's Maw, Nagi will be there and Koppa won't be.

Open question: Does having the warehouse built allow you to keep your inventory? Does rescuing Nagi unlock it? Does reuniting with Koppa unlock it?

My guess is that unlocking the warehouse is what unlocks the retreat scroll, and also allows you to keep your inventory when returning to the village. Even if that's not the case, to my knowledge, the only way to do a down and back after rescuing Nagi is to meet up with Koppa.

It's possible to do a down and back with Koppa in between rescuing Nagi and the Warehouse being build, so that needs to be tested. It's likely the warehouse unlocks keeping your inventory in the town though.

The item menu can be viewed in the town, but items can't be used outside of the warehouse. Fullness can be increased prior to entering into the dungeon, but does it stay?

  • Death Reaper can't cross over water.
  • Thiefwalrus can't cross over water.

  • I switched from easy > Normal (Thanks Admin B), Tanmomo followed me out of the dungeon, and back in. Where I encountered another level 3 Tanmomo.
    • I couldn't recruit the second Tanmomo. I didn't try to turn it hostile.
    • Is it possible to bring Pochi or Chicken to Easy? Will they be unlocked or not?
    • When I explored the village, neither appeared.
      • Would they appear if I changed difficulty before reuniting with Koppa?
  • I also found a Great Hall Monster House on floor 4, along with a Pop-up several turns later.
  • When I left the warehouse, I seemingly left items behind. I know I didn't drop them, I have no idea what that was about.
    • You can only enter the Sacrifice Pass with 5 items on Normal, the rest will be left in the Warehouse.
  • Just found a Jar of Change, inserted a Cudgel +3 and got a cursed Polearm -1. Worst trade deal ever.
  • Herbs, Curses, and Weapon Values are identified.
