Shiren 5 2020:List of Steam Updates

The following patches were applied exclusively to the Steam release of  Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate (2020).

The initial version of the game released on December 2, 2020 in the west and December 3, 2020 in Japan.

1.0.1

The first patch of the game was released on December 8, 2020.

Today's patch fixes the following issues:
*Fixed issue where game would sometimes freeze when BGM changed when moving between locations.
*Fixed issue where Spring Trap placement could make it impossible to clear a floor in certain dungeons.
*Fixed text overflow issues.

The second patch of the game was released on December 23, 2020.

■Ver1.0.2更新内容
1. 一部の環境下にて、コントローラーのUSBが抜けたり無線接続が切れた際に、強制終了することがある問題を修正
2. 本ゲームがランチャーメニューから起動できない場合にエラーを表示する機能を追加
3. フレームレートの検出処理を修正
4. ランチャーメニュー「ゲーム入力設定」のボタン設定に「ＸとＹ/△と□を入れ替え」を追加

■注意事項
※1：
コントローラーに関するプログラムを大幅に修正/変更している為、本アップデート前のコントローラー設定に関して、他アプリケーションを用いた設定等を行っていた場合、アップデート後に動作が変わってしまう可能性がございます。
大きく変更を行っている場合は、メインで進めているセーブデータ以外のもので事前にお試し頂けますようお願い申し上げます。

※2：
どうしてもこれまでのコントローラーに関するプログラムを使用したいという場合は、ランチャーメニューから「その他の設定（トラブル対策）」内にある「ゲームコントローラー入力処理を ver1.0.2より前のものを使用する」項目にチェックを入れることで、本修正前のプログラムで動作させることが可能です。
この機能を使用した場合、コントローラーに関する動作はすべて前のバージョンのものとなります。
ユーザー様の環境によっては、今回修正しております問題が発生する可能性がありますことをご理解頂けますようお願い申し上げます。

We have finished testing and have implemented these fixes on the default game build.

    Fixed issue where application would crash after reconnecting USB/wireless controller. (*1/*2)
    Error message now displays if application fails to start from launcher.
    Fixed frame rate issues.
    Added launcher menu option to reverse game pad inputs for X / Y | △ / □. 



*1:Please disable external game pad drivers/applications as these may conflict with game settings.
*2:If you would like to continue using your current game pad configuration, check the option from the Launcher Menu: “Other”

The third patch of the game was released on January 14, 2021.

[Ver1.0.3 Patch Notes]

    Fixed issue preventing game from saving after unlocking all achivements.
    Fixed issue where events and gimmicks in certain dungeons would function like the dungeon had previously been cleared, even if you had not cleared it yet.
    Various stability improvements.

The fourth patch of the game was released on November 16, 2021. The update was released after the announcement of a maintenance for the game's servers a day prior.

Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate received an update for Patch Ver1.0.4 on 11/15 at 9:00pm PST.
Please update the game to continue playing.

    Issue wherein stepping on particular spots in certain dungeons would cause an error has been fixed.
    Issue wherein an error would occur under certain conditions in "Rousing Paradise" has been fixed.
    Various stability improvements.
