Rescue Team DX:Kecleon Shops (dungeons)
This article is under construction or in need of expansion. You can help the Mystery Dungeon Franchise Wiki by expanding it. |
Kecleon Shops (Japanese: ???) are shops that appear in dungeons in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. They cover an entire room of carpet tiles, where Items are placed to be bought by the player. The player can also place items in the room to sell them to the owner, who guards the entrances/exits to the room.
Mechanics
The cost and value of items are the same as the Kecleon Shop in Pokémon Square, but they can be affected by certain Rare Qualities. The shop area is defined by the carpet tiles.
Selling Items
To sell items, items that do not belong to Kecleon can be placed on the floor. If there are unsold items in the shop area, Kecleon will ask to buy the items placed on the floor first before demanding payment.
The selling value of items is increased by 50% with the Sales Pitch rare quality.
Buying Items
To buy items, the Pokémon simply has to pick them up, and pay once they are done picking up Kecleon shop merchandise.
The prices of items are decreased by 20% with the Bargain rare quality.
Theft

If the team leaves the shop area but refuses to pay for Kecleon Shop merchandise picked up on the floor, the effects of theft are as follows:
- The background soundtrack changes.
- The shop itself becomes no different than ordinary ground, aside from its appearance, which means Kecleon can pick up items on the floor.
- In addition to the Kecleon that ran the shop becoming hostile, Kecleon begins to spawn across the floor, and they have very high stats and normally have double Travel Speed. Defeating a Kecleon yields few experience points.
- Enemy Pokémon on the floor before the effects of theft begin to disappear.
- There is a chance that a defeated Kecleon could join in an adventure.
- Escape Orb, Bank Orb, and Storage Orb do nothing if used, but the item will still be consumed.
- The team will be unable to complete a job request on the floor.
- The team's leader cannot be changed. This prevents thieving attempts from easily becoming successful because of a team member on the stairs.
- If the team is defeated, there will be no option to get rescued.
The effects above apply as long as the team remains on the floor where they stole items from a shop, so once the team proceeds to the next floor, the effects above no longer take effect. If Kecleon is on an adventure with the team, escaping from the dungeon safely will allow it to join the team if they have the corresponding Rescue Team Camp in which Kecleon can stay at, which is Overgrown Forest.
Other Mechanics
Moves can still be used when in the shop area, as enemy Pokémon can pass by the shop. If Kecleon gets hit by another Pokémon, it will attack the Pokémon it took damage from. Unpaid Kecleon shop merchandise can be used and destroyed by explosions, and Kecleon expects the team to pay for them. Kecleon shop merchandise that has not yet been paid for cannot be sent to the storage using a Storage Orb.
