You can break walls as you walk. But your Belly gets significantly emptier if you break walls, and you can't break any more walls if your Belly reaches 0. Rare qualities affect your whole team.

Forge a Path (Japanese: みちをつくる, Make a Way) is a Rare Quality in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. With the rare quality, Pokémon in the team can break walls, at a cost of one Belly point per wall tile. If the Pokémon's Belly is 0, it will be unable to break walls.
Some Items, including Health Drinks and Sitrus Berries, can be found inside walls.
