Shiren's Inventory (Japanese: 持ち物) is a menu where acquired Items are stored. The inventory consists of 4 pages of 8 items each. It starts out with zero items, with subsequent pages being "unlocked" as more items are picked up.

Shiren is only permitted to bring 5 items into the Dungeon Sacrifice Pass, and no items into the dungeon Moonlight Village Exit. Items that Shiren escapes the dungeon with can be stored at the Warehouse.

Sorting

Sort icon.

Inventory items can be sorted using the "Bag" icon when viewing the inventory. Sorting items will not pass a Turn, while equipping a Weapon, Shield, Armband, or Projectiles will pass a turn.

Items will be sorted in the following manner:

Weapons
Shields
Armbands
Projectiles
Riceballs
Herbs
Scrolls
Staves
Jars

Gitan Step icon.

Gitan that has been picked up will be removed from Shiren's inventory and added to his total Gitan count if it hasn't been stored in a Jar. Gitan can be added to the inventory by pressing the Gitan Step icon in the hotbar.

Equipment

Projectile icon.

Equipped items can be used without directly accessing the inventory menu; Weapons will be in Shiren's right or left hand, with his Shield being in the opposite. Armbands will impart their effects while equipped, and Projectiles can be fired using the projectile icon when equipped.

Destruction

Various Monster and trap actions may alter or destroy items in Shiren's inventory, though exact details in many cases remain unknown.

Monsters

Popster Tanks will cause an explosion that appears to turn a single Riceball at a time into Toasted Riceballs.
Thiefwalrus may attack Shiren, though they may also steal an unequipped item.
Pickpockets may steal Shiren's Gitan if it's in his Gitan inventory, and not his item inventory.
