Lands (Japanese: ???) are areas in Nintendo 3DS Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. Once Gurdurr resumes his job as a carpenter, he will be able to prepare lands in Pokémon Paradise. There are four different land types, and eight areas that can be prepared (not counting the area with the house and Paradise Center, which can't be changed by the player).

Description

When the player is first allowed to walk around Pokémon Paradise freely, three areas are accessible around the area with the house. However there is little space to walk and nothing can be done in them, as the land is unprepared. Preparing lands makes the adjacent lands accessible and ready to be prepared. The game shows the player a 3x3 grid consisting of eight areas (plus the area with the house) where lands can be prepared.

To prepare a land the player needs to talk with Gurdurr in Paradise Center and select "Prepare". Preparing lands requires items (Materials) and Poké. Random recruited Pokémon walk around the prepared areas, and Facilities can be built by interacting with signs to call Gurdurr. Each prepared area can have up to four facilities. Preparing a land again doesn't affect the facilities that have already been built in that area, including the random Drilbur Character, even if the player hasn't agreed to build its temporary facility, Diggers' Den.
