36 floors with towns in between.
After you get to the monkey village there will be a monkey in the beginning that will take you wherever you want (like the cart guy from Shiren 1).
Floor 31 has a boss monster,

Scrolls of sleep DON'T work with her.
Any status you inflict to her will be healed the next turn. (I had 6 talismans of "opposite", and one pain-sharing staff, and I was safe from her attacks/return the damage she did to me, for 1 turn before she healed that status).
She has double speed buy only uses 1 attack per turn.
Her attacks can drain 1 strength point at random.
The worst thing is that, she is possibly NOT the last boss (presumibly the final boss will be the tiger masked guy, who is her father)."

If you are going to take a serious attempt, take care on 28 to 30 floors. Unless you are lucky and you find the stairs soon, you will spend at least one night in those floors because the level has many little rooms and one big one that connects all. The Night Sky dragons are powerful, won't die unless you use 2 abilities and can spit fire to you to 50 fixed damage from anywhere in the same room. - Gabikun Feb 27 2010, 6:41 AM EST

I once paid a native lady I met in the dungeon 1,000 but have no idea what I was paying for...was it a map to a later level (I just hit the 12th level and already have the map somehow)?
