Draft:Asuka the Swordswoman DC:Staff

Staves are wooden sticks that can contain a variety of useful and/or dangerous powers that Shiren can swing or throw at his enemies. Each stave has a charge value of 0 to 99. Identifying a staff should always be treated with caution. While some have beneficial effects like changing a dangerous leveled up monster into a weaker enemy, others can level monsters or speed them up. A staff with 0 charges left isn't entirely worthless either. They can be thrown at an enemy buy have a chance to miss, they can be sold in shops or inserted into a strengthening jar to increase their number of charges again.

かなしばりの杖	Paralysis Staff					It paralyses monsters.
からぷリの杖	Staff of Swing					It makes monsters attacks invalid for 20 turns.*
クォーターの杖	Quarter Staff					It makes the monsters HP 1/4.
けものみちの杖	Leaping Staff					It brings monsters in front of Asuka.**
転ばぬ先の杖	Balance Staff					This staff prevents its bearer from stumbling. Its blast does nothing. (loses one charge every time it's effect takes place.)
しあわせの杖	Challenge Staff					Monsters targeted by this staff's blast will gain a level.
とうめいの杖	Invisible Staff					The target of this staff's blast will become Invisible.
鈍足の杖	Sloth Staff					The target of this staff's blast becomes slower.
トンネルの杖	Tunnel Staff					A wall hit by this staff's blast will become a traversable tunnel.
倍速の杖	Accelerating Staff					The target of this staff's blast becomes faster.
ばくだんの杖	Bomb Staff					Turns monsters into bombs.
場所替えの杖	Switching Staff					The target of this staff's blast will switch places with the bearer.
引き寄せの杖	Staff of Drawing					It draws items or monsters.
火ばしらの杖	Staff of Fire pillar					Creates fire pillars in front of Asuka.
封印の杖	Nullify Staff					The targer of this staff's blast will become Sealed.
ふき飛ばしの杖	Knockback Staff					The target of this staff's blast will be knocked away.
不幸の杖	Misfortune Staff					Monsters targeted by this staff's blast will lose a level.
身代わりの杖	Decoy Staff					Monsters targeted by this staff will become Doppelgangers.

Notes

• Names in bold might not have official English translations.
• Electric Staff could use a more accurate description. Lightning Staff is used in Shiren 1, Shiren 3, which are completely different item.
• "Staff of Animal Trail" sounds like the leaping Staff in Shiren 3. It brings the player to the monsters when swung.
• Staff of Drawing sounds like it works the same as the "Attraction" scroll in Magic Castle DS.
• The source of these item names claims if a staff has 0 charges you can restore it by Kaifuki no Tsubo.
