Shiren 1 DS:Kigny Seed

The Kigny Seed (Japanese: キグニ族の種) is a herb introduced in the Super Famicom release of Shiren 1. Eating a Kigny Seed will put Shiren into a Kigny state for 50 turns. While in this state, Shiren will move like a monster, and attack any monsters he sees. Throwing this herb at a monster or NPC will put them into the Kigny state. While a monster is in the Kigny state, it will act just like a Kigny, and go after the nearest entity whether that is Shiren or another monster. Monsters will never use their special abilities while in the Kigny State.

Tips for use

• Kigny Seeds make for decent weapons against monsters as it will essentially disable their special abilities, making them safer to fight.

• You can use this seed to easily intentionally level up a monster by having them kill another nearby monster.
• If Shiren dies while in a Kigny state, it will unlock an entry in the Adventure Log ("53. Defeated while a Kigny").

• Fear Radish's are notorious in the Shiren community as they throw these herbs at you. If one ever misses you and you haven't identified it by that point, you can easily identify this herb now.
• If you decide to carry these around as weapons, it is best to leave them inside of your jars so Gaze's can not make you eat them.
