Draft:Shiren 1 DS:HP
HP is reset to 15/15 at the start of an adventure. HP regenerates at a rate of Max HP/150, so when max hp is 15, it will regenerate by 1 every 10 turns. If Shiren is targeted by a fog hermit family monster, he will gain the no natural recovery effect, which prevents natural hp regeneration for 50 turns. If Shiren is targeted by a fog hermit family monster whilst he has the no natural recovery effect, it will be replaced by the hit point drain effect, which both prevents natural hp regeneration and reduces hp by 1 for the 50 turns. If shiren has the hungry status, natural hp regeneration will be prevented and hp will be reduced by 1 until fullness increases to above 0. When equipping recovery armband, hp regeneration will be set at 5hp/turn, at the cost of doubled hunger rate. This means that, if your maximum hp is above 750, your natural hp regeneration rate will be slowed when equipping the recovery armband. Recovery armband does not allow natural hp regeneration when Shiren has the hungry, no natural recovery or hit point drain effect, recovery armband will not allow natural hp regeneration.
Hp can be lost be receiving damage from characters, which can be from either fixed or variable - such as Tiger Uho throwing or Dremlas tripping / being hit by a mamel. If Shiren is inside a wall without wall pass abilities from Pacorepkin or level 3 and 4 death reaper family meat, he will lose 10hp per turn. Invincible status from victory herbs will prevent hp loss unless from hit point drain or hungry status. Kechi may press the wrong pressure points either before or after becoming a party member, which reduces your hp. Pekeji may mistakenly hit you as a party member before reaching his final level. Traps such as boulder, iron arrow, wooden arrow, will deal varying amounts of damage that do not take defense into account. Landmine and big landmine traps reduce hp to either 50% of current hp, or to 1 hp; these effects can be halved by the blast seal, found innate in blast shields. Scrolls of explosion, spike bombs and venting jars have a similar effect to big landmine traps. Poison herbs and rotten rice balls will deal 5 damage to Shiren. Levelling down (bitter herbs, seeds of misfortune, twisty hani monster, level 3 and 4 skull mages) reduces hp by 3~7, but cannot reduce it to 0. Seeds of Ill luck reduces Hp to 1. The bad meal at The Cliffs will reduce Shiren’s Hp to 1.
If Shiren Hp reaches 30% of his maximum HP, he will gain the In Trouble status effect. If Hp reaches 0, Shiren will collapse. Unless a revival herb is in the inventory (that is not sealed or in a jar), or Shiren is an evil soldier monster, the adventure will be over, unless a rescue request is issued.
Hp can be gained by using medicinal or restorative herbs, which restore 25 and 100 hp respectively. If a bolt from a staff of recovery is reflected, Shiren gains 50 hp. If Shiren consumes a fluffy bunny meat, he will restore 50 fullness using special attacks. Chiropractic jars will restore shirens hp to max, as will Kechi if successful. Inns will restore hp to max at a cost of gitan. Levelling up restores 3~7 hp. The Cliffs serves dishes that fully restore hp: Golden Roasted Fluffy Bunny, Boiled Ghost Radish, Sauteed Piggy, Spike Bomb Bowl, Grilled Egg Thing, Corpse Ice Cream and Roasted Mamel Tail. Reviving from revival herbs, evil soldier meat, or being rescued fully restores hp, as does possession via dead soldier meat.
Levelling down (bitter herbs, seeds of misfortune, twisty hani monster, level 3 and 4 skull mages) reduces max hp by 3~7, but cannot reduce it below 15. Seeds of Ill luck reduce max Hp to 15.
Max Hp is increased when using medicinal or restorative herbs at max hp, increasing it by 1 and 2 respectively. Life herbs increase max hp by 3 regardless of current hp. Levelling up increases max hp by 3~7. A medium success in bungee jumping grants +10 max Hp. The Cliffs serves dishes that increase max hp - Grilled Egg Thing increases it by 1, Boiled Ghost Radish, Sauteed Piggy, Spike Bomb Bowl, Corpse Ice Cream, Roasted Mamel Tail increases it by 3, and Golden Roasted Fluffy Bunny increases it by 10.
