Community:Shiren 1 DS Time Attack Speed Run Challenge

Time Attack: After clearing Table Mountain and defeating the Tainted Insect the time attack mode is unlocked from the main menu. Time attack mode has the player starting from the Warehouses in Canyon Hamlet and trying to clear Table Mountain as fast as possible while a timer in the bottom right corner keeps track of time.

Time Attack penalizes the player with a 10 minute addition to their time if they don't have at least 10,000 Gitan upon completing the time attack. This will not be taken into consideration when times are submitted and only the players actual time will be listed.

The Challenge

The challenge is to clear Time Attack mode as quickly as possible and submit the time while following the provided rules. The original challenge ran from August 14, 2019 to September 15, 2019.

The Rules

The game can be played on any platform but save states and cheats are not allowed.

Item Carry In

The game allows you to carry an item with you. You can carry in a Jar of Holding] and inside of it, 5 of the following items on your journey. For the purposes of this challenge, only items obtained as Reward Items (Fay's Puzzles) can be carried in.

The original winner was Yggdrasilmamel45 with a time of 20:37 and their carry in items included (Unknown).

Anything Goes Challenge

The challenge is to clear Time Attack mode as quickly as possible and submit the time while following the provided rules.

The game allows you to carry in an item with you. You can carry in a Holding Jar [5] and inside of it, 5 of the following items on your journey. For the purposes of this challenge, any and all items are allowed and encouraged as the goal is to clear the game with the quickest possible time.

They will only slow you down. Bring a staff of postpone and an armband of sight to quickly find the stairs. After a while, you'll notice repeating floor patterns. Memorize them so you can find the stairs quicker.
