Though he may seem like a lackadaisical Ronin who cares only for a good drink, he is a master swordsman that can be trusted in dire times.
History
It is known in Shiren the Wanderer 3: The Sleeping Princess of the Karakuri Mansion that Sensei is Shiren's uncle and the man who taught him the art of the blade.
