Community:Shiren 1 SFC Infinite Melding and Duplication Trick

The Infinite Melding and Duplication Trick is an exploit in  Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer. Using and abusing several Items exclusive to the Super Famicom release of Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer, you can easily create overpowered and broken equipment. This trick will allow you to meld any Weapon or Shield with very quickly.

You need:

• Melding Jar
• Division Jar with 8 slots
• 3 Withdraw Scrolls
• 1 Jar Growth Scroll
• Weapon/Shield with +X to Attack / Defense.

This example will use will use a Katana +9.

The Method

You need to put one of your Withdraw Scrolls in, so be careful.

1. In the Division Jar put your Katana, 2 Withdraw Scrolls and a Jar Growth Scroll.
2. Use your final Withdraw Scroll and collect your Items.
3. Then put 2 Jar Growth Scrolls and 2 scrolls inside the Division Jar and extract them.
4. Meld the swords, then use the Extraction Scroll on the Melding Jar, collect your sword, use Jar Growth Scrolls on the Jars, leaving at least one left over to clone.
5. Repeat

This method can be used to obtain a +99 sword and shield in 10 minutes in Fay's Final Puzzle.
