Status Conditions (Japanese: ステータス) are major gameplay elements in Super Famicom Torneko's Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon(UT) - This is an unofficial translation.. They can inflict both Torneko and monsters with various positive or negative effects. They can be given by monsters, traps, or items. They also can randomly afflict monsters as they spawn or be part of their Special Abilities. Some status conditions are exclusive to monsters or Torneko. For the same status condition, differences can exist in how they affect Torneko and monsters. Finally, some status conditions will replace each other, while other can stack together.

The player must use status conditions strategically to progress in the dungeon, while monsters and traps will use them to impede Torneko's progress.
