Tanuki Passwords (Japanese: タヌキの合言葉) is a gameplay mechanic in the Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in Nintendo DS Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 5 - The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate in 2010.

Tanuki Passwords were released in English for the PS Vita localization of Shiren 5 in 2016. In 2021, 24 out of 33 of the passwords were released in Traditional Chinese via FaceBook by the Spike Chunsoft ZH account across 6 batches.[1]
