NOTE. Describing and detailing music in Template:GameTitle. Its format will be loose until sufficient content is added. Point of reference: Meta:Mystery Dungeon 2: Shiren the Wanderer Soundtrack.

Shiren 1 SFC

All composed by Koichi Sugiyama.

Track 01: Story

"Story"(UT) - This is an unofficial translation. (Japanese: 旅ガラスは行く) plays during the title screen cutscene.

Composition: traditional Japanese instrumentation (presumably hyōshigi, koto, shakuhachi). It opens with a [koto] solo intro: a rising phrase within A minor pentatonic scale, then has a [hyōshigi] intermission and repeats slower. The following D minor main phrase played by the [shakuhachi]: D-F-E-A, with a supporting [second sakuhachi]. The main phrase plays in several variations, modulating and leading back to D minor's dominant. During the resolution, the music slows down. Doesn't loop.

This main phrase of theme appears throughout a majority of the soundtrack, thus serving as the game's main motif.

As a part of the track:

  • "Golden Condor"
  • "Canyon Hamlet"

  • "Successful Journey" at 0:40

As a motif:
