Traps (Japanese: ) are hazardous floor tiles found in dungeons in Etrian Mystery Dungeon. They cause various effects when a character walks on them. Traps are invisible until someone walks on them or until the player use a normal attack on a tile containing a trap. Using a Eye Drops also allows the character to see traps, but AI-controlled allies will still fall in covered traps.

Aside from traps, additional special floor tiles exist in dungeons like Amber Tiles and Spread Tiles which have beneficial effect.
