Curses (Japanese: 呪い) is a game mechanic in Template:GameTitle that applies Weapons, Shields, and Rings. If a weapon, shield, or ring is cursed, the player won't be able to unequip it. As weapons, shields, and are unidentified when found, the player won't know if they are cursed without using an Identify Scroll or equipping them by selecting the item in the menu. Curses can be removed from items by using an Uncurse Scroll
. Bikill Scrolls and Upper Scrolls also have the additional effect of removing curses from swords and shields respectively. Plating Scrolls also has the additional effect of removing curses from shields.
