Tanuki Passwords (Japanese: タヌキの合言葉) is a gameplay mechanic in the Shiren the Wanderer series. It made its debut in Template:GameTitle in 2010.

Tanuki Passwords were released in English for the PS Vita localization of Shiren 5 in 2016. In 2021, 24 out of 33 of the passwords were released in Traditional Chinese via FaceBook by the Spike Chunsoft ZH account across 6 batches.[1]
