Downloadable Content, or DLC for short is available for purchase by players in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, using Nintendo eShop credit. The menu to buy DLC can be accessed from the Main Menu. Foongus, the DLC Guide in Post Town, can inform about the DLC and bring the player back to the menu where it can be bought. The DLC includes dungeons, item graphics and music tracks from Template:Soundtrack and Template:Soundtrack / Template:Soundtrack. Music obtained from DLC will replace the main menu music, with each track only playing for a few seconds. The tracks can also be listened to in Music Paradise and one of them is used in each DLC dungeon. The DLC that contains Poké Forest was free for a limited time.
On February 16, 2022, Nintendo announced they will remove the ability to purchase content from the Nintendo 3DS eShop in March 2023.[Citation needed]

Trivia
- The DLC menu uses "Kecleon Shop" from the Template:Soundtrack soundtrack as background music.
- The DLC menu uses unique graphics not seen elsewhere in the game.
- The names of all the released DLC-exclusive dungeons are present in the files of the base game.
- Items that can only be found in DLC dungeons can still be used if the DLC is uninstalled or the SD card is removed. They will display as a question mark with the name "Mysterious Item".
- Despite this, all of the real names for the items can be found in the files of the base game.
- Many unused DLC files could be downloaded from Nintendo's servers. These included test/placeholder dungeons and entirely unused new versions of three tracks from the Template:Explorers.
- Some unused items only appear properly if the DLC is installed, suggesting more downloadable content may have been planned at some point.
