Development Oversights entail spelling errors, translation errors, bugs, glitches, and other aspects of unintended gameplay. This page covers Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer 5: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate for the Nintendo DS.
Known Bugs & Glitches
- While on a theft, reading a Template:Shiren5 will spawn a non-aggressive VIP Shopkeeper wandering around. It isn't possible to talk to him, but if you attack him in any way, he will start to attack you.
- It seems that the more complete the Item Book is, the slower the game runs for certain actions:
- Opening an item's description will take longer (approximately 4 or 5 seconds)
- Some of these item descriptions get completely unreadable, this includes:
- Other Items descriptions, like Gitan or Catstones
- The Template:Shiren5 and Dodger Pot
- The Template:Shiren5
- Trying to read something on the Status menu will crash the game for some reason
- This is also true when trying to host a multiplayer game or the Hints menu, as well as explanations for some effects (like the Dodger Pot's effect)
- The inventory takes a little longer to show up when you have new items on hand
- Animations on the New Item book run incredibly slow
- Animations on the Monster Book run a little slower too
- This seems to affect both save files
- Sometimes when putting the console on Sleep mode and opening it again, the button controls won't respond for a while; the only way to control the game during this time is by using the Touch Screen.
